tutorial - happy new year nails

Hello gorgeous. It's almost time to celebrate the New Year and that's why I decided to make my nails look all sparkly with lots of glitter.

Products used

glitter: essence effect nails multidimension glitters in No. 10 call me galaxy
gel: JOLIFIN Starline base gel, builder gel and top gel in clear. If you don't have any gels or you don't like gel nails you can use clear nail polish for the steps where I used the gels.
primer: JOLIFIN primer

Step 1
Push back your cuticles with a cuticle pusher. I use the MA 5820 manicure set by Grundig for this. Once you're done, use a buffer to remove the rest of the cuticle that is still sticking to some of your nails. This will give your nails a matte finish so the gel will have a better hold. Remove the dust with a brush.

Step 2
Use a dehydrator on your nails then apply primer. Make sure you don't touch your nails after using the dehydrator. The primer is optional.

Step 3
Apply a thin coat of the base gel to your nails and put your hand under UV light for 2 minutes.

Step 4
Use a coat of builder gel on your nails and harden it under your UV lamp for 2 minutes.

Step 5
Put another coat of builder gel on your nails. Next it's time for the glitter. Pour it on your nails. It'll stick to the gel. Lightly dab on it with a finger to make a smooth surface and to remove excess glitter. Put your hand under the UV light for 2-4 minutes.

Step 6
Wipe off the sticky layer with the dehydrator. If there is glitter sticking up, file it down. Use a brush to remove the dust, then use the dehydrator again.

Step 7
Put another layer of builder gel on top of your glitter. Cure it for 2 minutes under the UV light. Remove the sticky layer with the dehydrator and file your nails into shape.

Step 8
Use the dehydrator and put the top gel on your nails for a glossy finish. Let it harden under the UV light for 2-4 minutes. Wipe the tacky layer off with the dehydrator and use nail oil on your nails and cuticles.

And now you're done :) Enjoy your sparkly nails.
